Pink Promise : AARS 2009 Winner PDF Print E-mail

Pink Promise is a 2009 All American Rose Society winner. Entries are submitted from all over the world. Thousands upon thousands of seedlings are reviewed and judged to find one with top qualities. Winners display only the top qualities desired by the AARS judges. Officials look for form, color, fragrance and disease resistance. Pink Promise scored well in all of these categories.

Pink Promise has a cool pink color center that blends out to a soft white. Fragrance on this rose will bring thoughts of honey and berries. This strong hybrid tea rose will show well in any landscape and not only will be a show stopper but also a cause helper.

Jim Coiner, hybridizer of Pink Promise, has been involved in agriculture for over 65 years and 50 years directly associated with rose production. Upon finding out he had won he wanted his rose to do something more than look pretty in people’s yards. He wanted it to stand for a cause all people could support. As the beauty of the rose shined so did the cause. Pink Promise is the official rose of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This organization helps extend women’s lives through education about breast cancer and early detection. A portion of Pink Promise’s royalty will go directly to the support of early detection and research for mothers, sisters and friends.
